I updated the VPixx firmware and software. This is normally a seamless process and so far no issue. However, their PyPixx utility has been discontinued, replaced with another software called LabMaestro. Setting projector settings through code (Matlab or Python) remains functional and unchanged.
We mostly used PyPixx to do manual changes to display settings, such as activating ceiling/rear when using the MEG bed, vs deactivating them for the sitting position. It also had pixel mode, brightness, 3D, etc. I have placed a post-it note on the screen indicating to use LabMaestro instead (or VPutil, a command-line alternative), with some details where the usual settings are, but it’s fairly straightforward. On the left panel, under Environment, double click DATAPixx3 or PROPixx , and look at the settings on the right side. “Pixel mode” is less obvious when it’s off; it just shows: “Output mode: Normal”
Common settings:
Environment > DATAPixx3 > Digital IO > Output Mode (for pixel mode)
Environment > PROPixx > General > Ceiling/Rear (activate both for bed, deactivate for chair)
Environment > PROPixx > General > Lighting > Intensity (brightness)
