It looks like StimPC got a nasty infection. It currently won’t connect to the network. As such, I’m pronouncing it retired. I will leave it there maybe another week or two, but I will remove it soon.
I highly recommend anybody that has recently used a USB key in the MEG lab to thoroughly test and clean their keys. I am also implementing a ban on their use in the MEG lab. Because we want to keep our stimulus computers as fast and responsive as possible, there is no antivirus installed (though Windows has its own anti-malware that I haven’t disabled I think). So please use network transfers, email or clouds to copy files to and from the lab machines. And while I don’t restrict installing new software, please let me know if you need to install anything.
