The MCCHE in collaboration with Dr. Shawn Brown at the McGill Centre of Integrative Neurosciences has begun a program in developing technologies for large-scale agent-based simulation for exploring population health and well-being with a focus on the effects of food innovation in the context of human behaviour, genetics, and biology. Our team is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to assist in the development of technologies for creating synthetic ecosystems (statistically realistic virtual populations able to represent the population, built environment, and systems associated with a geographic region) as well as developing simulation models that incorporate human behaviour as it relates to food choice throughout the life course of individuals in the population.

Starting date: Flexible

Duration: Funding is available for 1yrs (salary commiserate with experience) with possibility of extension.

Academic Requirements: The successful candidate must have: 1) a Ph.D. in a Physical, Biological or Computational Science, Skills: The successful candidate must have experience programming in Python and have a strong background in statistics and data processing.

Excellent communication skills in English needed, and experience in software development a plus.
