Matlab now provides a new service, starting with version 2024a:

This will/can cause your /home/bic disk quota usage to climb significantly and may even cause your quota to be exceeded.
These installation live under ~/.MathWorks/ServiceHost/-mw_shared_installs/
If you are trying to reap some disk storage, then removing the oldest versions is possible, while keeping the latest version, after making sure they are unused. If you are not using matlab at the moment on any system (compute node or workstation), then you can safely remove older versions. Even if you remove all versions, the Service Host will rebuild itself next time you start matlab.
