Lecture: Imaging the Developing Brain: Growth, Injury & Repair - May 30, 2017 MNI Grandpré

Dear colleagues,

Join us on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 to meet Dr Kamila Szulc and hear her lecture:

Imaging the Developing Brain: Growth, Injury & Repair
· Lecture: De Grandpré Communications Centre, MNI : 10h00 - 11h00
· Reception : Helen Penfield Atrium : 11h00 - 11h30

Brain development is an important aspect in the study of the brain’s vulnerability to damage and repair. She will illustrate this based on her studies of mouse models of cerebellar hypoplasia, cerebral palsy and radiation induced brain injury. She will also discuss new evidence showing that some of the acquired brain injury can be ameliorated by pharmacological (metformin) and lifestyle interventions (physical exercise).

The lecture is the collaborative effort of The Neuro, the CFREF-funded Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives (HBHL) initiative and the Ludmer Centre.
